STREET PARTY STRATHCONA STYLE
SOSfest ended with a bang in the form of a huge Strathcona street party between 103 and 104 streets along Whyte avenue. Shout Out Out Out Out played the last set of the evening and had the crowd smiling and dancing and elated that things like this can happen in Edmonton. I certainly left feeling high on life.

YOUTH PROLONGED
I am a 30-year-old, married woman who still thinks the best thing under the sun is a slumber party with girlfriends on a Saturday night. Sometime last week I invited Laurel and I over to Genevieve's house for a sleepover. Manners. I'm good at those too.
Anyway, Genevieve was up for it so we all congregated on her place this weekend and had a blast (at least I did), dancing and talking and eating endless junkfood. I had a university flashback when opening a bottle of wine with a screwdriver and a hammer (I will buy you a corkscrew Genevieve) and spilled pizza pop down the front of my shirt. Ahhh, just like old times. Except for the wine.
And now for the required dress-up portion of the evening...ever wondered how one might look wearing four fur coats, a fur hat and fox fur stole? Now you know:

BSC FRIDAY NIGHT
Crashed a party at Baby Seal Club last night. Well, technically it wasn't crashing cause there was a show and I paid to get in like everyone else. Felt like party crashing though, I'm getting old. I think maybe Genevieve and I are bad influences on each other.

BORCHERT KINDA PARTY
Saturday night was the annual Borchert holiday party and, though I nearly didn't attend, I gave in around 11, hopped on the LRT & headed over to Studio E for a few hours.
Now it's Monday and I'm feeling too lazy and busy to edit this lump of photos so I'm just going to post a whole bunch (if you want me to take any down just let me know.) And anyway, it's nice to see so many smiling faces of friends who maybe aren't in town much anymore.
Thanks for another great time Sean et al, your efforts are much appreciated.
