RB and I went to the Empress this weekend where my insistence that Hot Bob make me a Shirley Temple shooter (??) resulted in the (somewhat slow) realization that calling it a night was an excellent idea. I wore my new sequined t-shirt and red lipstick and was entertained with conversations on food, pornography and shapeshifters. Saturday saw the epic sammie quest of 2010 in which we traveled to not just one, but both Italian Centre groceries in search of the perfect spicy panini. Sunday was breakfast at the Duchess Bakeshop and a trip to the Super Flea Market where I found a present for a friend. We stopped by T&T on the northside for dim sum and wasabi chips and later watched The Thing (which was fabulous, ps.) I like weekends.

Here's to another 50 of those this year, M'Lady.

PS. I think honestly and without jealousy that "Hot Bob" has graduated to "Warm and Convivial Father-esque Barkeep Bob." Or maybe I've just seen him too many times?

Croissammie is the correct term, I believe.
